Miniature Potbelly Pigs
Zippity Zoo is a USDA Licensed Exhibitor and
Breeder: #55-C-0158
At this point we
do not register any of our pigs...
We breed for small pigs (40 - 60 pounds is average)
that have friendly temperaments and will make great
pets...
We are also breeding for blue-eyes in some of our
pigs...
All of our baby pigs
are handled daily to socialize them with people, so
they make great pets even if they are not
bottle-fed...
We only bottle feed piglets if the mother is unable
to feed them for some reason, but this rarely
happens...
When we do need to bottle-feed our policy is not
sell the babies until after they are weaned...
We have found that is unnecessary and sometime
difficult to bottle-feed piglets which is the reason
for the policy.

Pictured below
are examples of the babies that we breed...
NOT the exact piglets that are for sale...

Zippity Zoo will give the following health
guarantee:
One month for all weaned pigs
One year for all adult pigs
This guarantee is for general health and does not
include improper care/negligence/neglect/abuse on
the part of the buyer...A signed letter from
a licensed vet will be required before a
refund/replacement will be considered...The letter
must state the reason for or the conditions
surrounding the death of the animal, as well as,
the treatment(s) performed on the animal and the
dates of all treatments...In many cases a necropsy
will be required...Should the results of the
necropsy confirm a genetic problem, the cost of the
animal and necropsy will be refunded...
All
our baby pigs are de-wormed prior to leaving for their
new homes...
However, the vets in our county do not recommend giving
any shots other than a rabies shot to pigs since
there are no hog farms in the area and the risk of
disease is extremely minimal...
We recommend giving all pigs that are 4 months old
or older a rabies shot yearly, but since most baby
pigs leave our farm before that age we can not give
this ahead of time...
All buyers should contact a livestock vet in their
area to find out what vaccines are recommended in
their area and set-up an appointment for these to be
given as soon as possible after bringing their new
pig home...
Shipping is available
at the buyer's expense...
One baby pig (under 10 lbs) can be shipped for
approximately $350 - $450...
This cost includes the actual shipping cost, the
airline approved crate, our travel costs to
and from the airport, a health
certificate, TB/BC blood testing which is required by all
airlines and the federal government in order
to ship pigs...
We can not give a
more exact shipping quote ahead of time
since prices vary depending on which airline
is used to reach the buyer's closest
airport...
And each airlines' costs will vary
monthly...

To be put on the waiting list for future
pigs:
Please make sure you leave all your
contact information in the body of the
e-mail, such as:
Full Name, All Phone Number(s), & Full
Physical Address...
Also, let us know
what you are looking for in the subject
line (boar/sow, body color, eye color,
etc.)...
Please be very
specific in the subject line of the e-mail
to avoid it possibly being deleted before
it is read...For example:
Baby boar wanted for
pet
Blue-eyed sow wanted for breeding
Any color/sex pet pig wanted
If you would like
a neutered male, please include this in
your e-mail as well…
We neuter the baby males before
they are 5 days old without surgery…Any
older than this and they must be
neutered by a vet which must be done no
earlier than 12 weeks old and is much
more expensive...
And this must be arranged and paid for
by the buyer…
We do require a deposit before we will
neuter any of our males, so please make
sure you have a PayPal account set up
ahead of time…
There is not much time once we
contact you with a baby pig to make this
decision and not enough time to send a
money order by mail either, so PayPal is
the only way that we will accept a
deposit for a neutered male pig…
We do not spay our
females ahead of time since this is
major surgery and can not be done safely
until the female is at least 12 weeks
old...
If a buyer wishes to have their female
spayed then this must be arranged and
paid for by the buyer… |
