Health Guarantee: Dreamflower Meadows guarantees that, to the best of their knowledge, all hedgehogs sold by us, whether from our breeding herd or not, are free from any health problem or apparent diseases at the time of purchase. We guarantee that all hedgehogs we sell are healthy for up to 30 days from date of pick-up, delivery, or shipment against all pre-existing health problems that were present before the hedgehog left our facility. (This guarantee does not apply to any hedgehogs that are not bred from our breeding herd if the health problem is found to be a congenital defect.) We recommend that all new owners take their new hedgehog to a licensed veterinarian who regularly treats hedgehogs for a full health evaluation within 7 days of purchase. Should your hedgehog develop an illness or other health problem within the first 30 days of purchase, Dreamflower Meadows will replace the hedgehog with another hedgehog that is available now or in the near future, or we will refund the full purchase price of the hedgehog. The unhealthy hedgehog must be returned within one week of the illness becoming apparent and also must be seen by a licensed veterinarian who regularly treats hedgehogs within that time or the health guarantee is null and void. A written report from the veterinarian who first treats the hedgehog, must accompany any returned hedgehog. The written report must state the nature of the illness/disease/or other health problem and that it is was pre-existing at the time of purchase. (This health guarantee is NOT transferable from owner to owner, it only applies to the original owner that we sold the hedgehog to.)   Dreamflower Meadows, also, guaranteed that all hedgehogs bred from our breeding herd are free of any congenital defects for up to one year of age (regardless of the purchase date). If a hedgehog that came from our breeding herd dies from a congenital defect within one year of birth, we will either replace the hedgehog with another hedgehog that is available now or in the near future, or refund the full purchase price. Proof of the congenital defect is required in a written document from a licensed veterinarian who regularly treats hedgehogs. (This guarantee is transferable from owner to owner, as long as the new owner contacts Dreamflower Meadows within 1 week of purchase/transfer from the original owner that we sold the hedgehog to. We will contact the original owner for verification of the sale/ transfer. Should we determine at that time that the hedgehog is not the original hedgehog that we sold to them, the health guarantee will be null and void.) In addition, Dreamflower Meadows gives a lifetime guarantee for all hedgehogs bred from our breeding herd against Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome or WHS that could arises later in life and was not detectable at the time of purchase. We strive to prevent WHS and other genetic diseases in our hedgehogs by breeding responsibly, but the occasional defect may occur despite our best efforts. To receive the refund for a hedgehog that dies of WHS, a necropsy must be performed by a licensed veterinarian of our choice at the expense of the buyer...If the test results confirm that the cause of death was Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome, then the full purchase price of the hedgehog will be refunded and the full cost of the necropsy also paid. (This lifetime WHS warranty does not apply to any hedgehogs that was not bred and born here at Dreamflower Meadows...Look for any special notation in the sales ad that would indicate the warranty does not apply. This policy is also transferable from owner to owner, as long as the new owner contacts Dreamflower Meadows within 1 week of purchase/transfer from the original owner that we sold the hedgehog to. We will contact the original owner for verification of the sale/transfer. Should we determine at that time that the hedgehog is not the original hedgehog that we sold to them, the health guarantee will be null and void.)

 

Refund/Exchange Policy: If a buyer decides that a hedgehog is not the right pet for them or needs to return the hedgehog and can't or does not want to exchange the hedgehog, then we will buy back the hedgehog for the following pro-rated amounts*: Returned within 14 days of the date of purchase -  100% of the sale price Returned within 15 - 30 days of the date of purchase - 50% of the sale price Returned within 31 - 60 days of the date of purchase - 25% of the sale price Returned after 60 days of the date of purchase - No refund is given (Please Note: Shipping & Delivery Costs are non-refundable) *This does not apply to a hedgehog returned to us that is not healthy or is injured for reasons that were the buyer's fault, such as, but not limited to, poor diet, drafty/cold living conditions, harm caused by the owner, owner's children/guests, or owner's other pets, no refund will be given. In all cases, we will take back any hedgehog for any reason that was bought from us. We ask that owners contact us FIRST if they need help finding new homes for their hedgehogs should they not be able to keep them for any reason...We will do all that we can to see a good outcome to the situation. If you need to find home for a hedgehog that was not bought from us, please contact us if you are unable to return it to the original breeder, owner, pet store, etc. We will do our best to help find a loving home for your hedgehog. If you decide that the hedgehog you purchased from us, does not have a good temperament within 1 month of the purchase date, we will exchange the hedgehog with one that is available now or in the near future. The refund policy above applies to any refunds requested. (Please Note: Hedgehogs often do not do well in environments where cigarette smoke is common...If you are a smoker or there is someone who smokes near the hedgehog on a frequent basis, we will not exchange the hedgehog, since it is likely that the same thing will happen with another hedgehog. We will refund the hedgehog (if it is healthy) at the pro-rated amount listed above.)

 

Shipping Policy: Shipping is available on special occasions at the buyer's expense... Shipping costs range from $200 - $400... But we can not give an exact shipping quote until about 2 weeks before the hedgehogs will be shipped... We prefer not to ship unless the buyer is purchasing at least 4 hedgehogs that will be shipped together at the same time... E-mail us for more info...
